JEWELLERY COLLAB
Our new jewellery range is an extension of our vision to bring you a brand that fully encompasses the Australian lifestyle. The luxury jewellery line is handmade in Sydney from locally supplied materials by our jeweller. In the lead up to our launch we wanted to bring you a note from our jeweller at Laurose jewellery.
Ethical and eco-conscious design and manufacture is at the forefront of the AIDAN label, and as a jeweller those values have been at the core of my practice from the get-go. When Nadia and I first discussed a new jewellery range to compliment AIDAN’s signature looks, we agreed that Australian-made was the only way to go. To reduce waste and keep the manufacture in-house, we decided the made-to-order process is our best option.
When you purchase an AIDAN piece, you can have confidence that every care has been taken in its manufacture – passing multiple quality checks. Every AIDAN jewellery piece I make in my Sydney workshop is checked with a loupe before delivery. All our jewellery is solid sterling silver and comes with the option of additional gold-plating. Top-quality white cubic zirconia stones are used in our rings, and we’ve hand-selected natural black Spinel for an alternate look. The best part about the whole thing is that we control every stage of the making process. From design, stone-selection, sourcing materials and chain, manually forging the silver into rings and earrings, to the packaging – I get to handle it all, and I really do consider myself lucky for it. But the only cherry that can top that cake is knowing that AIDAN – Australian, woman-owned and run, small and flexible – is a label worthy of the long hours, elbow-grease and dirty jeweller hands.
